Six snails, two dice, and a secret bet on who wins and who trails.
Who it's for
Households with kids around three to six who want a race that a preschooler can steer alone. Also useful when a younger sibling wants to join the grown-ups' game night.
Not for you ifβ¦
There is zero decision-making here: you roll, you move, that is it. Adults playing without a child at the table will be checking their phone by round three, and older kids often outgrow it fast.
Vibe's take
Loud and giggly rather than tense, because everyone is quietly rooting for a different snail while pretending not to. Turns take four seconds, so nobody has time to get bored.
Six wooden snails crawl toward a lettuce leaf at the end of a short track, and all six are in play no matter how many people are sitting at the table. Before the race starts, everyone secretly bets on which snail will finish first and which will come in dead last. Two coloured dice decide who moves, one square at a time.
