A snail race where the first one over the line loses, so you push everyone else forward.
Who it's for
You play with kids from around five and want a race game where the grown-ups get to scheme too. Works nicely with three or four players.
Not for you if…
You want real strategy or a long game. This is a light dice shuffle, and the luck of the roll decides plenty.
Vibe's take
Silly, sneaky and quick to grasp. Every roll becomes a little decision about whom to shove, and the groans come from the table, not the rules.
A snail race played backwards. Nobody wants to cross the finish line first, so on your turn you roll the dice and use the result to push your opponents' snails forward, hoping to keep your own slug lagging at the back. It sounds simple, and it is, but the fun lives in the sneaky maths: every shove helps someone and hurts someone else, and everybody at the table is trying to do the same to you. Add a dash of bluffing, some scheming and plenty of groaning. It was named Kids Game of the Year in Poland in 2019. Best with three or four, and young kids get the point fast while adults still enjoy the mischief.
