A fantasy deck-builder where your race, your scenario and your enemies change every session.
Who it's for
You like Terrinoth or fantasy settings and want a deck-builder with story and variety. Nice if you play with a partner or alone.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a pure points race with no setup. The scenario structure means you need to read the scenario rules before you play.
Vibe's take
Epic but streamlined. You build your deck with a clear sense of army and strategy, and scenarios keep it from feeling like pure number crunching.
Rune Age is a scenario-driven deck-building game in the fantasy realm of Terrinoth. You lead one of four races, and each game is played through a scenario with its own goals and twists, including cooperative play and solo rules in some of them. Designed by Corey Konieczka, it uses a shared market of cards you buy with resources, and your deck grows into an army that suits your race. Compared to a standard deck-builder, you fight over territory, enemies and objectives rather than just points. If you like fantasy and want variety, with different scenarios and races, this is a rich, replayable box to open.
