Who it's for

You want a short, nasty dungeon race where luck and nerve matter more than careful planning. Great if you like fantasy theme with a bit of schadenfreude.

Not for you if…

You want a cozy campaign where your hero levels up steadily and survives. Here a single bad room can end your evening early.

Vibe's take

Tense, greedy and mean in the best way. Every new tile could hide treasure or a trap, and you constantly gamble on going one room deeper. Losing a hero stings, but the stories you get out of it are half the fun.

About this game

DungeonQuest sends one to four heroes into Dragonfire Dungeon in the fantasy realm of Terrinoth, and it is not a polite quest. The dungeon is laid out tile by tile as you explore, the doors lock at sunset, and every hero is racing to snatch treasure from the dragon's lair and stumble back out before the day runs out. It is competitive and deliberately cruel: traps, monsters and rivals all want you gone, and heroes really do die. Think less steady fantasy campaign, more greedy heist in a building that hates you. Fights come down to a rock-paper-scissors style choice, and each hero plays a little differently. Expect laughter, groans and the occasional hero who never makes it home.
