A board of random challenges where you sing, mime, balance and snort like a pig.
Who it's for
You have a big, loud, uninhibited group that loves to perform and laugh at itself. Best at a party where nobody cares who wins.
Not for you ifβ¦
You or your group are shy about performing, or you want a game with a fair winner. It depends entirely on people's willingness to look silly.
Vibe's take
Loud, ridiculous and gloriously uncompetitive. The score fades behind the memory of someone reciting a poem about their armpits.
Quelf is the party game that gives random a new name. You move around a board as one of eight quirky characters, and every space makes something strange happen. Your friends start to talk oddly. Your mother has her face wrapped in toilet paper. Your father acts like Dracula. You are reciting a poem about your armpits. Cards sort the chaos into stunts, showbiz acts, trivia, silly rules and choices between two topics. The game is built for people who want to laugh at themselves, not for those who want to win. Its rating on BGG is low, because it all depends on whether your group will happily make fools of themselves, and when it does, the evening gets legendary.
