A frantic real-time pirate game where penguin warriors on polar bears guard the Golden Pineapple.
Who it's for
You want a silly, fast game for kids around six and their parents, with a pirate theme. Works well when you need something quick and energetic.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want calm, thoughtful play or strategy. This is fast, chaotic, and based on dexterity.
Vibe's take
Loud, hectic, and goofy. Everyone acts at once, and the table is soon full of squeals and quick hands.
In Pingo Pingo, your pirate crew has dropped anchor at an island rumored to hold treasure, including the legendary Golden Pineapple. The catch is that the jungle is guarded by hordes of penguin warriors, some riding giant polar bears. You run in alone, grab for the loot, and discover quickly that you are the prey. The game is played in real time and relies on dexterity, so it is fast and noisy rather than careful. It is made for two to five players from about six years old, and a round takes around fifteen minutes. If you want a silly pirate-penguin romp with kids, this delivers it.
