A whole forest dungeon in one deck of cards: roll, fight and level up before the boss arrives.
Who it's for
You like dungeon crawls but lack the table space or time for a big box. Perfect for solo evenings or a partner who enjoys co-operative dice tactics.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike dice or want a big, narrative campaign with miniatures. Also not for groups bigger than two.
Vibe's take
Tense and tactical, like a pocket roguelike. Each dice roll feels meaningful because you can see exactly what you need, and the gloom increases as the dungeon gets deeper. Victories feel earned, and defeats make you want another run.
One Deck Dungeon is a dungeon crawl squeezed into a single deck of cards, and it behaves like a roguelike: different each time, hard to survive and built around a character you grow from nothing. You flip a card from the dungeon deck, then roll dice and slot them onto the card's requirements to beat the foe or avoid the peril. Beaten cards are tucked under your character board as experience, items or skills, each giving a different benefit. The longer you dawdle, the deeper the dungeon gets and the tougher it becomes. If you survive long enough, a boss waits at the end. Forest of Shadows is the woodland edition, and it plays fine solo or as a duo.
