About this game

Once Upon a Time hands everyone a fistful of story elements and one secret Ending they are steering toward, then lets the group build a fairy tale together, out loud, on the fly. Whoever is telling the story keeps talking until they hit a word matching another player's card, and that player can jump in and steal the narrative entirely. Improvised nonsense, sudden plot twists and shameless attempts to sneak your ending in before anyone notices make every playthrough wildly different. It rewards quick thinking and a willingness to be a little silly far more than any real strategy.
