Draft cards, upgrade your submarine and dive for treasure while dodging the kraken.
Who it's for
You like drafting games with a theme and want a calm, colorful game with several viable plans. Best with four players.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want constant player interaction or a puzzle that punishes mistakes. It is a pleasant race of efficiency more than a duel.
Vibe's take
Relaxed but with real choices: every round you decide which sub part to improve and which species to chase. Colorful, calm and smoothly paced.
Pilot a submarine, score some fish. Oceanos is an underwater exploration game with a clever twist on card drafting: your sub has five parts, each upgradable from level one to three, and each one controls a different ability. You send divers after forgotten treasure, spot underwater species, grow the biggest coral reef and collect crystals to improve your ship, all while trying to stay out of the kraken's gaze. Because there are several ways to score, you can chase different plans from game to game. Colorful and easy on the brain, it plays in about forty-five minutes and is best with four.
