About this game

Every round in Niagara starts the same way: you quietly choose how many paddle strokes your canoe will take, then watch the transparent river plate slide everyone downstream, current and all, toward a waterfall that is closer than it looks. Land near the riverbank gem fields and you can scoop up rubies and emeralds, misjudge your stroke count and you might watch your canoe, and its cargo, tip over the edge for good. Weather cards speed up or calm the current round to round, so the plan you made a turn ago rarely survives the reveal. It rewards read-the-table intuition over calculation, and the tactile river gimmick alone makes it a great choice for players who like something a bit different from the usual eurogame.
