A whole civilization in four rounds and a pile of dice, with rerolls that tempt you to gamble.
Who it's for
You like civilization themes and dice engines, but want it finished in under an hour. Great if you enjoy tuning your own empire without much direct fighting.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a deep, brainy civilization epic or lots of player interaction. The dice swing results, and everyone mostly plays their own board.
Vibe's take
Brisk and tinkery: you roll, weigh your options, and decide whether to keep a decent result or gamble for a great one. The engine grows visibly each age, and events keep you honest about food and defense.
Nations: The Dice Game squeezes a whole civilization into four rounds and a handful of dice. On your turn you buy tiles, raise wonders, or reroll some of your dice, and you keep going until you pass. Buildings and soldiers hand you extra dice for later rounds, so every purchase is an investment in your own engine. Events keep poking at weak spots, so a thin food supply or a tiny army can bite you at the wrong moment. It borrows ideas from the Nations card game, but the tension comes from dice odds and push-your-luck instead of long-term planning. Everyone builds their own empire in parallel, and there is a solo mode too.
