Roll dice to abduct humans, chickens and cows before the tanks catch up with you.
Who it's for
You want a tiny dice game with a silly sci-fi theme that anyone can pick up. Handy for travel or a quick round while waiting.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want strategy or meaningful decisions. It is almost entirely luck and nerve.
Vibe's take
Quick, giddy and a bit agonising. Every roll is a small gamble, and the groan when a tank ruins a promising turn is half the fun. It is over before anyone gets too competitive.
Martian Dice puts you in charge of an alien abduction crew, rolling thirteen custom dice to scoop up humans, chickens and cows from Earth. With every roll you must set aside any tanks, which represent the human army, then choose one other type to keep. You need enough death rays to hold off the tanks, or your haul counts for nothing. Push your luck for more abductions or stop while you are ahead, and be the first Martian to fill your quota. It plays in about ten minutes and has plenty of silly sci-fi humor. Great as a quick roll between longer games.
