A roleplaying-style campaign without a game master, driven by story choices instead of winning or losing.
Who it's for
You love gamebooks or roleplaying but nobody wants to run the game. Perfect for solo evenings with a cup of tea and a hero who remembers what you did.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a competitive game with a winner or a lot of tactical board play. This is mostly reading and choosing, so impatient players will get restless.
Vibe's take
Cozy and bookish: you read a passage, face a choice, and live with it. It feels closer to a shared fantasy novel than to a board game.
Legacy of Dragonholt is a roleplaying game with the game master taken out. You build your own hero in the fantasy world of Terrinoth, then work through six quests by reading story passages and choosing what your hero does next. Think of a Choose Your Own Adventure book with character stats, items and a campaign that follows your hero from quest to quest. Nobody wins or loses here, the point is the tale you end up with: goblins, a scheming evil lord and plenty of decisions with consequences. It works alone or with up to six players around the table, and it takes many evenings to see everything. Lots of reading, lots of storytelling, very little rules fuss.
