Vibe's take
sharp, tense, tactical, confrontational, satisfying
Kahuna is a two-player duel fought entirely over a chain of tropical islands. Every card in your hand does double duty, you either build a bridge connecting islands to claim them or use its special power to sabotage your rival's network, and you have to choose which every single time. Majority control of connected islands scores points, but the board is small and mean, so a well-placed bridge or a sudden power play can flip the whole map in one turn. Sharp, tight, and over in well under an hour, it is one of the best pure two-player strategy games nobody talks about enough.
