Haggle your way into being the boss of a deal and cut the right investors in, or out.
Who it's for
You love negotiating, bargaining and making dubious promises with a straight face. Best with five or six people at the table.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike talky games or dread being outbargained. Quiet players can get steamrolled.
Vibe's take
Loud, chatty and full of bluffs. The rules are small, and the table talk does the heavy lifting.
Wall Street haggling in a box. A board of potential deals sits in the middle, and a marker decides which one is up. On your turn you either roll a die to move the marker or open negotiations on the deal where it rests, trying to be the boss who closes it. The catch is that you need certain investors to approve, and every investor wants a cut of the dividends. So you talk, offer, promise, bluff, and cut people out, while influence cards let you tilt things in your favor or wreck someone else's plans. There are no rules about what you can promise, which makes this a great game for people who love to negotiate. A 1994 classic that still works.
