About this game

HeroQuest is where a whole generation learned what a dungeon crawl actually feels like. One player runs the evil wizard, revealing the dungeon room by room and springing every trap and monster with real glee, while up to four heroes, the barbarian, dwarf, elf, and wizard, push deeper chasing treasure and glory. Every quest is scripted but every roll is not, so a barbarian getting cornered by three orcs turns into genuine table drama. It plays like a starter kit for tabletop roleplaying wrapped in a proper board game, miniatures, dungeon tiles, and all, and three decades later it still hits exactly that sweet spot.
