A tiny city-building deckbuilder with no hand, where you keep flipping cards until unhappiness ends your turn.
Who it's for
You like deckbuilding but want something small and quick, with a streak of pressing your luck. Handy when you only have a small table.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a big engine or total control. The top-of-deck randomness means you can lose a turn to bad luck.
Vibe's take
Fast and gamblish. You know your deck, but not the next card, so every extra flip is a small leap of faith.
Flip City is a micro-deckbuilder with a neat twist: you have no hand. Instead, you play cards straight off the top of your deck to earn cash and victory points, and you keep going until you have three unhappiness icons in play, which ends your turn on the spot. If you stop in time, you spend your cash either to buy a new card or to flip one you already own, upgrading it to its stronger side. Every card is double-sided, so the same deck keeps changing. It is a quick push-your-luck game in which your city grows turn by turn, and the sudden-death ending keeps the pressure on.
