Auction turn order, buy licenses and launch boats in an Arctic fishing bay.
Who it's for
You like card-driven engine building with auctions and enjoy a nautical theme. Plays well with four players.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a relaxed, light game. The auction and the multi-use cards demand focus and plenty of arithmetic.
Vibe's take
Tight and tactical. Every card could be money or a boat, so each turn feels like a small puzzle with a bidding twist.
Fleet is a card game about fishing in Ridback Bay, a hidden Arctic inlet in Nunavut that has just opened to trawlers. You acquire licenses, launch boats, and fish for points. Cards do double duty, and the turn order is auctioned each round, so being first costs you something. The player who manages resources best and collects the most victory points from fish, licenses and boats wins. It is a card-driven engine builder with real decisions, nicely tight for four players.
