Roll the die, grab the fruit, beat the raven to the orchard, together.
Who it's for
Parents introducing toddlers to their very first board game and looking for pure, gentle teamwork.
Not for you if…
You are looking for a game with any real decisions or challenge, since this is intentionally as simple as it gets.
Vibe's take
gentle, cooperative, simple, sweet, quick
First Orchard is most toddlers' very first board game, and it earns that spot honestly. Everyone works together: roll the die, and whatever color it shows, you pick a matching fruit off the tree and drop it in the basket. Roll the raven, though, and the crow hops one step closer down the path toward your orchard. You win together if the basket fills up before the raven gets there, which means every roll is a shared little cheer or a shared little gasp. There is no reading, no real losing, and nothing to remember, just the simplest possible taste of playing as a team toward one goal.
