A dice-only roll-and-write trading game set in ancient Corinth.
Who it's for
You like roll-and-writes with a bit of structure and enjoy ticking boxes at a table with a pencil. Fits well at three.
Not for you if…
You want lots of interaction or a rich board. It stays on paper and dice.
Vibe's take
Brisk and tidy, with a satisfying sorting step each round before the scribbling starts. Luck of the roll is there, but the sorting gives you something to plan around.
Corinth is a dice-only roll-and-write, a bit like Yspahan without the board. You are a trader in the sun-baked port of Corinth, 4th century BCE, with Persian carpets, Cretan oil and Egyptian spices to sell. The active player rolls nine dice and sorts them onto a shared chart, highest values on the gold space at the top, the rest stacked from the bottom up by value, each value on its own level. Then dice are taken from the chart and the goods go onto your sheet. The sorting step is a neat little puzzle in itself. Short, tidy, and a good option for a pencil-and-paper evening.
