Draft cards into an upside-down pyramid in a sharp little fantasy card game.
Who it's for
You like short card drafters that still make you think, and the Abyss art appeals to you. Fits two or three players well.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a big theme or story. It plays more like an abstract card puzzle than a fantasy adventure.
Vibe's take
Brisk and tense in a quiet way, with every discard a gift or a trap for the next player. The pyramid shape keeps you thinking a row ahead.
Conspiracy: Abyss Universe takes the world of Abyss into a quick card game, and it is mostly about building an upside-down pyramid. The deck has five colors in twelve cards each, numbered zero to six, and everyone drafts cards into rows: five on the top, four below, then three, and so on. On your turn you draw one to three cards and keep one for your row, setting the rest by color near the deck, or you grab every card of one color from those piles. Keys on the cards in your rows trigger effects once enough of them line up. It is a small, clever set-collection puzzle where watching what you leave for others matters.
