About this game

Cheating Moth is a race to empty your hand that hides a delightfully sneaky second game underneath. Play a card one higher or lower than the top of the pile and you are fine β€” but some cards can never legally be played, only vanished by dropping them, sleeving them, or otherwise cheating them off the table while nobody notices. One player holds the Guard, the only one allowed to call out cheaters, and getting caught means taking your card back plus a penalty. It rewards a poker face as much as quick math, and rounds fly by fast enough for an immediate rematch.
