Worker placement on a road of cards, where the provost decides whose workers actually pay off.
Who it's for
Players who want the Caylus decision space in a smaller box and a shorter sitting. Best at three or four.
Not for you ifβ¦
You are new to worker placement. The provost rules take explaining, and the card layout is visually drier than the original board.
Vibe's take
Tight and mean in a quiet way, because your best move often depends on nudging the provost one space and stranding somebody.
The big Caylus boiled down to a deck of cards, no board and no score track. You place workers on buildings along a road that you and everyone else keep extending, but the provost decides how far down that road actually pays out. Buildings you construct are buildings other people will use, and they will pay you for it.
