Build a dungeon as the villain, lure heroes with treasure and make them regret it.
Who it's for
You like playful take-that card games and old-school video game jokes. Best with two players, when your dungeon decisions matter most.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike getting sabotaged or being knocked out by someone else's card. It can swing hard, and elimination can sting.
Vibe's take
Light, jokey and mischievous. You race to be the dungeon that heroes love most and survive least. Sabotage cards keep everyone grinning and grumbling in equal measure.
Boss Monster 2 keeps the idea of the original: you are the villain, building a dungeon that lures adventurers with treasure and then chops them up with traps and monsters. It is a standalone game with 160 new cards, and it also mixes into the first box. Dark Heroes and Hybrid Heroes make waves of adventurers nastier, Epic Spells add big one-shot effects, and cycling rooms let you swap a dud for something better. Retro 8-bit video game art keeps the mood light and joking. Whoever survives longest while rivals take too many wounds from heroes wins. Expect plenty of take-that mischief, with a lean on hand management and room choices.
