A little memory game with plastic bees, hives and one grumpy bear.
Who it's for
You play with small children who are learning to remember, take turns and match colors, and want a game that lasts only a few minutes.
Not for you if…
You want a game for older kids or adults, or something with real strategy. It is pure memory plus luck, and quite short.
Vibe's take
Light and giggly: children concentrate hard on where the bees went, while grown-ups try to remember too and often lose. The bear card adds a harmless moment of groaning.
Six plastic bees hide under six colorful hives, and at the start everybody gets to see who is where. Then the memory test begins. On your turn you draw a card: a hive card lets you grab a hive from the middle without peeking, a bear card sends one of your hives back, and a bee card makes you lift a hive to find out whether the bee underneath matches the color on the card. Match, and the hive is yours. The first to collect four hives wins. It is a tiny, charming memory game for little kids from age four, and short enough for a few rounds in a row.
