Flip falling marbles into your opponents' goals while the dome keeps raining more on you.
Who it's for
You want an arcade-style toy for kids around eight and up who like reflexes and noise, or a nostalgic retro table battle with friends.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a calm or strategic game. It relies on a motorized gadget and fast reactions, and it is very noisy.
Vibe's take
Frantic, clattering and slightly overwhelming. Reflexes and quick eyes matter more than any plan, and the dome never gives you a breather.
Battle Dome is a pinball arena for up to four. Colored plastic marbles tumble from a motorized dispenser onto a dome, bounce past spinners and bells, and slide into one of four chutes. Each player controls a pair of flippers at their own chute and tries to bat the falling marbles into opponents' goals while keeping their own goal clear. Every marble that ends up in your goal counts against you, and a black stealth marble counts extra. If you play with fewer than four, a fence blocks off the unused chutes. It is a loud, fast, reflex-driven toy from 1994 where the machine does the dealing and you do the panicking.
