Who it's for

You have a big, talkative group that enjoys playing characters and arguing a case. Great for parties with lots of players and no need to be fair.

Not for you if…

You dislike improvising or telling lies in a game. Shy groups may find it awkward, and there is little to do without lively players.

Vibe's take

Silly, loud and improvised. The fun comes from watching friends invent excuses and point fingers with a straight face.

About this game

You are an evil goblin servant of the Dark Overlord, Rigor Mortis, Master of All Evils, and the last mission did not go well. Again. Now everyone is kneeling at his feet to explain why it was not their fault, and the Overlord is not known for mercy. That is the whole game: tell your story, shift the blame onto your clumsy colleagues, and hope someone else takes the fall. Aye, Dark Overlord! The Red Box is a fantasy party game with a little role-playing, a lot of lying and a very loud room. It is fast to play and meant for four to sixteen. It works best when your group is happy to ham it up and does not mind teasing each other.
