A stand-alone Ascension set with a god boss fight and a Fate twist.
Who it's for
You already like Ascension and want a fresh box that works on its own for two. Also a good first deck-builder for fantasy fans.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want heavy strategy or engine-building with long-term planning. The shared row brings luck of the draw to every turn.
Vibe's take
Quick, tidy deck-building where the shared row keeps changing and a single card flip can swing the game. Buying a big hero and watching your deck get meaner feels very satisfying.
Ascension: Return of the Fallen is a stand-alone set for the popular deck-builder Ascension, playable on its own for two players or mixed with the base game for up to six. A fresh Center Deck of 65 cards puts a showdown with the god Samael on the table, and a new Fate mechanic can flip the whole game with a single revealed card. Each turn you recruit heroes and constructs from a shared row, defeat monsters for honor, and slowly turn your starter deck into something that hits hard. If you know Ascension, this adds a boss fight and a bit of chaos. If you do not, it is a fast, friendly place to start.
