You dislike player elimination. The highest spender always loses, no matter their score.
Bail out failing companies by bidding literally any amount of money. There is no limit to how much you can bid. Write your bid on a dry-erase board, reveal simultaneously, and the highest bidder wins. But the player who spent the most total money at game end is automatically eliminated, regardless of their score. The tension between needing to win auctions and not being the biggest spender is excruciating. Plays in 30 minutes and creates more dramatic moments per minute than games five times its length.
