One player scripts a tragedy in secret, the rest must loop through time to figure out how to stop it.
Who it's for
Deduction fans and mystery-thriller lovers who enjoy asymmetric games where losing a round still moves you forward.
Not for you ifβ¦
You dislike long asymmetric setups or one player knowing everything, because the whole game hinges on that information gap.
Vibe's take
cerebral, tense, mysterious, asymmetric, puzzle-like
Tragedy Looper puts one player behind a curtain of secrets while the rest try to stop a scripted disaster they don't understand yet. The mastermind knows exactly who the serial killer is and what triggers the next tragedy; the protagonists only get to watch characters move, guess at hidden roles, and act on hunches. When someone dies on schedule, time loops back to day one, and that failure becomes your best clue. Across several loops you refine your reads until the pattern finally clicks and you can head off the tragedy before it happens. It's a heavy, cerebral standoff, closer to a logic puzzle wrapped in mystery-thriller tension than a typical deduction game.
