Who it's for

You love dice-heavy fantasy tactics with real depth, have time to spare and a group that enjoys long, grudge-fueled campaigns.

Not for you if…

You dislike player elimination or long setup and rules. It's a heavy commitment, and being knocked out early is a real possibility.

Vibe's take

Dense, tactical and dramatic. Each battle is its own small puzzle, and the long game rewards patience and nerve.

About this game

A classic fantasy slugfest on two levels. On the master board, legions of mythical creatures wander the map, recruiting bigger and nastier monsters as they go. When two legions collide, the fight moves to a battleboard that matches the terrain where it happened, and the dice come out. The army left standing returns to the master board with points, and points buy Angels and Archangels or make your leader, the Titan, stronger. Lose your Titan and you are out. It has a devoted following for good reason: the depth is real. It's also long, with a rules binder to match, so bring patience and a table that stays set up for the evening.
