About this game

The Search for Lost Species takes the beloved deduction engine from The Search for Planet X and points it somewhere real: dozens of actual species have not been seen in decades and might already be gone, and your job is to track one down across Indonesia and Papua New Guinea before it is too late. You move across the map, gather clues and slowly narrow down habitats through logical deduction rather than pure guessing, and every session plays a little differently thanks to the built-in randomization. It is a genuine deduction puzzle wearing a conservation cause on its sleeve, satisfying to solve and quietly meaningful once you learn the game is inspired by a real rewilding effort.
