A friendly first dungeon crawl for kids with chunky pieces and big miniatures.
Who it's for
You have a child of five or six who has seen you play fantasy games and wants in. A gentle bridge to bigger adventure games later.
Not for you ifβ¦
You are an adult group hoping for a real dungeon crawl. This is made for small heroes and stays simple.
Vibe's take
Warm and adventurous, with simple turns and lots of tactile bits to grab. Kids feel like heroes, adults get a steady, easy ride.
The Quest Kids is a first dungeon crawl for children from five, with a gentle fantasy cave instead of a scary dungeon. Each player controls a young hero exploring Tolk's Cave on a modular board, finding treasure, scaring away monsters, completing quests and picking up magical items, all while helping the other Quest Kids along. At the end, the one with the most stars wins. The pieces are chunky and the miniatures big and bendy, so little hands feel like they are playing a real adventure. For adults it is very simple, but it is a friendly introduction to the whole adventure genre and a fine bedtime-adjacent family game.
