A cooperative two-player trick-taking game where you win the forest together.
Who it's for
You and a partner like card games with deduction and few words, and you want something to play as a pair. Great after dinner.
Not for you ifβ¦
You need more than two players or dislike trick-taking. This one is only for two.
Vibe's take
Quiet, tight and a bit tender, built on reading your partner without saying much. Wins feel earned and losses feel close.
The Fox in the Forest Duet turns the two-player trick-taking game into a team effort. You and your partner share a forest path with gems scattered along it, and your job is to collect them all before three rounds run out. Each round you get eleven cards from a thirty-card deck with three suits numbered one to ten, and one card turns up as the decree to set the trump suit. For each trick, one of you leads and the other must follow suit if possible. Whoever wins the trick moves the team along the path. You cannot talk about your hands, so you have to read each other's plays. A quiet, clever coop for couples and pairs.
