About this game

Tak is a two-player abstract game with one goal, connect your stones into an unbroken road across the board before your opponent does. Every stone you place is a small decision with weight: lay it flat and it can be built into a tall, stackable tower, or stand it upright as a wall that blocks the space but never joins a road. Beneath the elegant simplicity sits real depth, tempo matters, and threatening two roads at once is often the only way to win. It has the clean bite of chess or Go, dressed in warm wooden components, and it began life as a game invented for a fantasy novel before players demanded a real version.
