About this game
Taboo hands you a word to describe and then crosses out every easy word you would normally use to describe it, so getting your team to shout the answer means reaching for weird angles under a ticking clock. Say a forbidden word by accident and the buzzer humiliates you instantly, which is half the fun for everyone watching. Rounds fly by fast, teams alternate, and the real skill is thinking sideways when your first three instincts are all off limits. A party staple since 1989 for exactly this reason: it is loud, quick and makes everyone look a little ridiculous.
