Pick the colour that will hurt you, then dodge it for the rest of the hand.
Who it's for
Card players who want a trick-taker with teeth and don't mind being targeted. Best at three or four.
Not for you ifβ¦
You prefer trick-taking that rewards clean play. At seven or eight the chaos outweighs the tactics, and a bad hand can be genuinely punishing.
Vibe's take
Gleefully spiteful. Half your turns are about winning tricks, the other half about ruining someone else's.
A trick-taking game where you choose your own poison. Before each hand you reveal one card from your hand and declare its colour to be your pain colour, and every card of that colour you collect scores negative points equal to its face value. Everything else you win is worth one point flat, so you spend the hand grabbing cheap cards and dodging expensive ones.
