A silly, sneaky card game for the whole family where queens get stolen, defended and put back to sleep.
Who it's for
Families with kids who want a genuinely fun card game that doesn't feel like a chore for the grown-ups, or a light filler between heavier games.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want a game with real strategic depth, since outcomes lean more on card luck and light take-that than long-term planning.
Vibe's take
silly, quick, family-friendly, a little chaotic, sweet
In Sleeping Queens, twelve queens lie asleep on the table and your whole hand exists to wake one up or steal one someone else already claimed. Play a King to rouse a sleeping queen, sneak in with a Knight to snatch a rival's queen unless she has a Dragon ready to defend, or catch someone with a Potion and send their queen right back to dreamland. Number cards let you discard matching pairs or simple addition chains to refill your hand fast, and a well-timed Jester can hand you a bonus turn or a surprise wake-up. It is quick, a little chaotic, and light enough that a seven-year-old can out-scheme an adult by round two.
