A dice-rolling race where every extra roll gets you further, until you spin out.
Who it's for
You like push-your-luck racing and want a sim feel without a computer. Best with four or five at the table.
Not for you if…
You dislike dice or want a quick race. Rolling too much can cost you the lead, and a game takes about an hour.
Vibe's take
Tense and exhilarating: you can stop safely, but the next roll is so tempting. Corners are where races are won and lost.
Rallyman: GT is a dice racing game where you push your luck at speed. You hold six gear dice, one for each gear, and roll them in ascending or descending order to cover distance, each die only once per turn. A coast die keeps up your current speed, and brake dice slow you for sharp corners but make manoeuvres riskier. Each die carries warning symbols, and three on one roll send you into a spin. Win by crossing the finish first, and learn when it is worth risking the next roll. The track is modular, up to six can race, and there is a solo option if you want to practise your lines.
