A simplified Bohnanza for kids: plant beans, trade cards, and harvest Talers.
Who it's for
You have kids around four to eight and want to introduce trading games, or you want a stepping stone to Bohnanza.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want the full tension and depth of Bohnanza. This is intentionally simpler and gentler.
Vibe's take
Chatty and cheerful. The table is full of offers and bargaining, and the simplified counting keeps young players in the loop.
My First Bohnanza is a kids' version of the bean-trading card game Bohnanza, and also a friendly way to learn the real thing. You plant beans in your fields, trade cards with the other players, and harvest your crops to earn Talers; whoever has the most Talers at the end wins. The beanometers on the cards are simplified, with several bean types needing only a single amount, so counting is easy. It plays with three to five players and takes around half an hour. Talking and trading are the heart of the game, which makes it chatty and social, and a good first step for children before the full game.
