A silent, snowbound descent into Lovecraftian madness where saying too much is almost as dangerous as the mountain itself.
Who it's for
Horror fans and cooperative gamers who want genuine tension from not being allowed to just say what's in their hand.
Not for you ifβ¦
You rely on freely talking through every co-op decision, because the silence rule here is the whole point, and it bites.
Vibe's take
tense, eerie, restrictive, cooperative, slow-burning
In 1931 your expedition stumbles onto an uncharted Antarctic mountain range, and Mountains of Madness makes sure you regret it. Together you climb, drawing cards to face challenges that demand the right combination played at the right moment, all while a strict silence rule strangles your usual table talk. Fail, and madness or injury creeps in, sometimes forcing you to act out unsettling effects rather than just track them on paper. Push far enough to gather more relics than wounds and your team escapes; push too far and the mountain keeps you. A slow-burn horror co-op built on H.P. Lovecraft's novel, where the real enemy is how little you're allowed to say.
