Guide a family of monarch butterflies north and back south across three seasons of scoring.
Who it's for
You like nature-themed games with movement and route planning, and you enjoy thinking about timing. A good fit if you want a gentle, pretty game that still has some crunch.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want direct conflict or quick, simple turns. It asks for planning over three seasons and runs over an hour.
Vibe's take
Calm, thoughtful and a bit elegiac: you plan routes, chase the right timing, and watch your butterflies spread across the map. The tension comes from the seasonal scoring rather than from attacking each other.
A set-collection and movement game built around the monarch butterfly migration. Over three seasons your butterflies flutter north in spring, spread out in summer, and head back south in fall, and each season ends with a scoring round. The nice twist is the story: no single butterfly ever completes the round trip, so you are really steering a whole family across generations, and the family with the most victory points wins. It plays on a hex map with movement points, rewards planning where your butterflies will be when scoring hits, and looks as gorgeous as the topic suggests.
