About this game

Linq hands everyone at the table a word card and a very specific kind of anxiety: two of you secretly share the exact same word and need to find each other without saying so out loud. Round after round, everyone offers a single one-word clue about their card, and if you are one of the Linq pair, you are trying to signal your unseen partner while staying vague enough that nobody else catches on. Everyone else is doing the opposite, hunting for the pair through pattern and tone rather than content. Guess the Linq correctly and you score, but the pair only scores if they identify each other too, so subtlety cuts both ways. It rewards reading people more than reading words, and a full table makes the guessing game genuinely tense.
