Place magnets carefully inside a cord ring without letting them snap together.
Who it's for
You like dexterity games where nobody needs to read rules and the whole table leans in. Fine for travel and for a quick round.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want planning or story. It is a short game of steady hands and some luck.
Vibe's take
Tense and twitchy, with shared groans every time two stones leap together. The suspense lives in the steady hand, not in the rules.
Kluster is a dexterity game played with magnets, a cord and a steady hand. The magnetic stones are dealt out evenly, and the cord forms a play area on the table. On your turn you place one stone inside the area, trying not to let it snap onto the others. If stones kluster together during your turn, you collect the whole clump and have to carry them around. The first player to run out of stones wins. It sounds slight, and it is: a quick, tense, twitchy game where everyone leans forward and holds their breath. Small box, easy to bring along, and it works equally well for a coffee break or a lazy evening. Up to four players, plus a solo option.
