About this game
In the Footsteps of Darwin puts you aboard the Beagle as a young naturalist racing to fill your notebook before the real Charles Darwin finishes his book without you. Each round you pick from tiles docked at the ship, then layer them into your personal grid, studying animals, drawing maps and publishing theories in whatever order the puzzle allows. The rondel controlling your options keeps everyone's plans just slightly out of sync, so the tile you want is rarely the tile you get. It teaches in minutes, wraps in half an hour, and somehow makes tile-laying feel like genuine scientific discovery.
