Steal your neighbours' pots in a devil kitchen and hope they are not full of exploding milk.
Who it's for
You are playing with kids around ten and want a dice game with a gimmick and some good-natured stealing. Adults get a few bluffing moments out of it too.
Not for you if…
You want real decisions or a quick game. Dice rule the board and it can run longer than you would think.
Vibe's take
Loud, silly and a little mean, driven by dice luck and one big bluff: nobody knows what a pot is really worth. The plastic stove duels are the part kids will ask to repeat.
In the Devil's Kitchen is a dice-and-dash game from the early nineties, set in a hellish restaurant where little devils in chef's hats fetch pots. Each of you hides a value under your four pots before play: some are worth 1 or 3 or 5 points, and one is secretly milk. Milk is a disaster, because a devil who carries it home blows up. So you roll, run across the underworld, and gamble on which pot to steal. When two devils meet, a duel starts at the big plastic stove in the middle, where pushing a plunger decides who wins. First to 10 points of dishes wins. Silly, loud and pleasantly mean.
