A social deduction game in 1940s Hollywood: find the communists before your studio is shut down.
Who it's for
You like social deduction for bigger groups and enjoy a satirical historical theme. Good for tables that love to bluff and accuse.
Not for you ifβ¦
You are uncomfortable with a theme that parodies the Red Scare, or you want a calm, low-conflict game. Accusations are the point.
Vibe's take
Chatty, suspicious and a bit chaotic. Everyone has a job to do and an agenda to hide, and the dice make every round a new accusation. Loud tables do well here.
Hollywood, 1947. Your studio is making movies, but someone is slipping un-Patriotic messages into the scripts. In secret, every player is a Patriot, a Communist or a Rising Star, and each round gives everyone a unique job: screenwriter, gaffer, director, actor, editor and more. Jobs influence what kind of movie is made, who holds which cards and who gets special information, or you can skip your job to re-roll two dice. Stars show up at the end of each round to decide who is under suspicion. A social deduction game with dice and bluffing for up to nine players, set in a satirical, historical Red Scare. Plays in about 40 minutes.
