You play with kids around six and want a quick grabbing game with colors and shapes. Adults can join in and be properly beaten by quick small hands.
Not for you if…
You want a thoughtful game or dislike noise and speed. It is pure reaction and pattern spotting, and the box is mostly for children.
Vibe's take
Loud, fast and giggly. Hands fly over the middle of the table, someone always grabs the wrong thing, and the boss gloob causes a scramble. Rounds are short enough for the kids to ask for another.
About this game
Gloobz is a speedy grabbing game for small hands, ages six and up. Seven plastic pieces sit in the middle: three paint cans in blue, red and yellow, three critters shaped like a triangle, a square and a circle, and one boss gloob that is every color and shape. On your turn you call more or less and flip a card, then everyone races to grab the pieces that match the color and shape that appears most, or least, on the card. A magnifying glass lets you grab anything, and the boss is worth three points if you snatch him at the right moment. Quick, noisy and good for kids who love to grab things.
