Vibe's take
deeply asymmetric, politically complex, simulation depth, card-driven tension, historically immersive
The fourth COIN series volume tackles the Vietnam War with four asymmetric factions: US, ARVN, NVA, and Viet Cong. Each faction plays fundamentally differently: the US launches heliborne sweeps and manages media perception, the VC infiltrates and builds hidden guerrilla networks, the NVA pushes down the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and the ARVN navigates corrupt Saigon politics. Event cards drive the action while forcing gut-wrenching decisions about which faction gets to act. A deeply political, deeply asymmetric simulation of the most complex conflict of the 20th century.
