A party drawing game where secret hidden criteria decide whether your frantic sketch actually scores.
Who it's for
Larger, loud groups who love drawing and description party games with real laughs and a built-in scoring twist.
Not for you ifβ¦
You feel self-conscious drawing in front of others, since the whole game revolves around quick, imperfect sketches.
Vibe's take
silly, chaotic, funny, social, fast-paced
In Duplik, one player, the Art Director, describes a bizarre secret image out loud while everyone else, the Artists, races to draw it based purely on that description, with no peeking allowed. What nobody sees coming is that the Art Director is also secretly holding ten specific criteria the drawing needs to hit, one of them a golden criterion worth extra points, so a vague or overly clever description can tank everyone's score, including the describer's own. When time is up, the criteria are revealed and every drawing gets checked against the list, which turns a simple doodle round into a small comedy show of misunderstandings. Everyone takes a turn as Art Director before the game ends, so the awkward describing and the frantic drawing get shared around evenly. It is loud, silly, and reliably produces the kind of drawings you will be laughing about days later.
